In 2007, prior to forming OCV, a company managed by Mr. Morrill was seeking Planning Commission approval for the 23-acre Fisterra Planned Unit development (“Fisterra”) and learned of the community’s affordable housing shortage. Fisterra sought out developers of affordable rental housing and interested Cascade Housing Group in a site in Fisterra. Fisterra developed the site that now includes the north and south sides of Diversity Drive at Highway 101. Cascade Housing Group purchased the developed site north of Diversity Drive and constructed Fisterra Gardens Apartments (“FGA”).
FGA is managed by the Housing Authority of Lincoln County FGA is available to households earning not more than 60% of area median income.
